LOVE and DECEIT

“Love and Deceit” was filmed primarily in Dover, Delaware, which is centrally located in the State, just off the Delaware Bay and just a (long) stone’s throw from the tourist beaches of Rehoboth, Delaware and Ocean City, Maryland.  We wanted to give our audience a real sense of Dover’s quaint, small-town environment, and were able to do so because of the generous outpouring of community support.   All scenes were filmed in local homes and establishments (including restaurants, nightclubs, cafes, and department stores), at the beach, and at a well-known antiques store -- and all these venues were provided without cost!  While the veteran cast came from as far away as Chesapeake, Virginia, we deliberately used some local merchants as extras to enhance the authenticity of the film.  “God’s Amazing Grace… is just a prayer away”, the award-winning movie also directed by Warren A. Rhodes, was also filmed in Dover.  Delaware is officially nicknamed The First State, owing to its status as the first state to ratify The Constitution; Dover, Delaware’s capitol, is poised to become The First City of Filming in The First State.
