Therron Dumas (Byron)
Therron was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. In all he does, Therron honors the three strong women who raised him and his three younger brothers: his mother, Michele Dumas, and his grandmothers, the late Catherine Dumas and Willie Mae McGill. Therron was a shy child, but could make friends easily and sing beautifully. Recognizing his talent for martial arts, Therron soon began to train in the art of “Chi Fu Ka Ninjutsu” at Ninja University of the Martial Arts. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy. During Dessert Storm, Therron was commissioned on the Naval aircraft carrier, USS George Washington, but had to abort his military career when a knee injury prevented his continued service. Therron got his start as an actor in the independent film, “Clowns” (2014) about a serial killer who drugged his victims and dressed them as clowns before murdering them. He played an African attorney (Gilbert Jude) who eventually falls prey to the killer. Since then, Therron has been very busy appearing in supporting roles in 12 movies for TV and/or web release.
Tamika Hudson (Tracy)
Tamika Hudson is a Dover, Delaware native. Tamika is a graduate of Delaware State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Theater. She has been a member of SAG/AFTRA since 2004, and has been the Dance Coordinator at Delaware State University for more than 10 years. Her film credits include: the lead role (Gwin) in “Better Dayz” (2005); Disney’s “Annapolis” (2006); Muhammad Ali Center’s movie, “Confidence” (2006) in which Tamika portrayed Muhammad Ali's mother as a young adult; the award-winning “God's Amazing Grace...is Just a Prayer Away” (2013); and “Courage In Black and White” (2012), a play airing as part of the PBS special, “More Than Just a Month” (2012). Among Tamika’s numerous onstage credits are a one-woman stage-play, “Sweet Chariot”, and “When It Rains” (2008). Tamika is spokesperson and actress for Harford County’s (Maryland) “Book of Dreams” (2006), a traveling presentation that is “ . . . a living testament to good people who chose to act when the evil of slavery governed in America”. Tamika’s TV appearances include a spot on the PBS series, “Be Yourself” and a nationally broadcast Tostitos commercial. Currently, Tamika is writing, acting and directing plays locally at her church. She plans to continue acting, writing and directing and is always looking for a great project to work on.
Will Wilmore, III (Kenneth Harrison)
Will is a native of Wilmington Delaware, where he was raised with his three older siblings. Will’s acting career took off when he landed the lead role in the film, “Why I Don’t Date" (2014). Since then he’s garnered supporting roles in the original stage production of “Mrs. Independent” (2014) and in the feature film, “Choices” (2015). In the web mini-series “S.O.B (Son of A Boss)” (2015), Will took on the lead role of a crime boss who was imprisoned for being the biggest drug dealer in American history. In “Love and Deceit” (2016), Will portrays Beverly’s deceitful and soon-to-be-ex-husband.
Rosalind Russell (Beverly Harrison)
Rosalind (Roz) is a retired United States Marine Corps officer and founder/CEO of I. C. Entertainment. Roz fine-tuned her performance craft at the Ted Bardy Acting School, based in New York. She writes and produces the web series, “Storm”, currently showing on YouTube. Roz is a prolific performer, having appeared in numerous stage and screen productions. She performed on stage in “Truth and Freedom”, “The Redemption Center” and “Extremities”. Roz was a regular in the Newport News, Virginia local TV series, ”Precinct 757” (2013-2014). In addition to her lead role in “Love and Deceit” (2016), Roz has performed the lead in the independent films, “The Lately Good”, “What Would You Say” and “The Inevitable” (2013). Roz was also featured as the lead in an episode of “Frenemies” (2014) on the Discovery ID Channel. She performed in supporting roles in “Employee of the Year” “Product Of My Environment“ (2013), “Uneven” (2014), and “She’s Gotta Get It”. Roz works with local and independent entertainment companies providing both dramatic and comedic performances.
Dion LeMon (Scott)
Born on Christmas Day in Milford, Delaware, Dion has always felt he was born to do something great in the arts! Raised in a loving household alongside his younger sister, Dion was surrounded by music throughout his formative years. When Dion was 10, his family relocated to Dover, Delaware and he joined the Music and Arts Department at Calvary Baptist Church. It was there that his passion for Music and the Arts was encouraged and cultivated. In 2009 on the campus of Delaware State University, Dion played Sam Cooke in a one-man monologue of the life and times of the iconic American singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. Dion sang and acted in the movie, “God's Amazing Grace...is Just a Prayer Away” (2013), which starred Clifton Davis. Currently, Dion is the male lead (Bishop William Titus) in the gospel stage-plays, “The Things Church People Won't Say” (2015) and “Secrets in the Sanctuary” (2015), which are based on novels of the same names by T. T. Harris, (2012 & 2013) and have captivated audiences throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Rodney Davis (Alex Bentiez)
Rodney Davis is a motivational speaker, pastor, author, actor, educator, and playwright. He holds a BA in English with years of experience in film and theater. He is a husband and the father of six. Rodney has co-authored several books: “When New Life Begins” (2012), “Bringing Forth The Dreamer in You” (2015), and “Dreaming The Dream” (2016). He also wrote the inspirational stage play, “When It Rains” (2008). As an actor, Rodney’s recent endeavors include the new B.E.T. crime series, “Criminals At Work” (2016); the Discovery ID Channel’s “House of Horrors” (2016); and Calvary Pictures’ “God’s Amazing Grace is Just a Prayer Away” (2013), starring noted actor, Clifton Davis. In “Love and Deceit” (2016), Rodney plays the role of Alex. In his role as speaker/teacher/preacher, much of Rodney’s work is autobiographical, and all of it is relatable. Rodney believes that by sharing his testimonies, he can help many overcome life’s adversities through faith in Almighty God. Rodney’s favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
