Gerard Pickett is a Harlem native who found his pulse for film right after graduating high school. Already a screenwriter, Gerard developed his niche for cinematography through his broadcast experiences at Virginia State University. Oddly enough, Gerard had no intention of becoming a filmmaker; he continued with film only because it was a culmination of all the arts he loved, including music, lighting, color, sound, etc. Projects over the years allowed Gerard to expand and perfect his skill set, including Steadicam operation. In addition to “Love and Deceit” (2016), Gerard’s works include a documentary on homelessness, “Angels In The Valley” (2013), featuring Orlin McClendon; “Plunky and the Oneness Band 40th Anniversary” (2014); and a Comcast commercial for D&D Metal Arts (2014).
